Our Story
Effortless Swim began in 2020, born purely from creativity during a time when the world slowed down. What started as a pause in a photography business turned into something unexpected—designing and sewing made-to-order swimwear from home. As orders quickly grew, it became clear this was more than a moment—it was the beginning of something lasting.
In 2022, Effortless launched its first manufactured collection, and has been creating ever since.
We specialize in swimwear made for your unique body. Every piece is intentionally designed to offer flattering function—supportive, confidence-boosting, and effortlessly beautiful. Our patterns and hues are deeply inspired by the Pacific: the textures of shells, the warmth of sand, the movement of the ocean, and the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Based on Maui, Hawai‘i, Effortless is more than swimwear—it’s a reflection of a lifestyle rooted in connection, nature, and feeling good in your own skin.
Meet Tehani
Tehani, the founder of Effortless Swim, was born and raised on the island of Maui. Her life is deeply rooted in the ocean and the rhythms of island living.
When she’s not designing, you’ll find her raising her babies, surfing, shell diving, and adventuring through waterfalls—living the very lifestyle her swimwear is created for.
Tehani cares deeply about designing for real, unique bodies. Every piece she creates is inspired by her surroundings and her belief that swimwear should feel as good as it looks—supportive, flattering, and made to move with you.
Meet Kiara
Kiara is Tehani’s right hand and an essential part of Effortless Swim. She’s the one behind the scenes making it all happen—packing your orders with care and keeping the day-to-day running smoothly.
Born and raised on the island of Maui, Kiara’s lifestyle is rooted in the same ocean-driven rhythm that inspires the brand. She spends her time at the beach, drinking matcha, + long-boarding.
Kiara brings intention and heart into every detail, helping ensure that your Effortless experience feels just as good as the pieces themselves.
